ORP Stampi, Brain Gym: Launch of the New Electric Cold Deck for LSR

Innovation as a continuous exercise, driven by knowledge sharing, training and new technological challenges. This is the message behind Brain Gym, the Open House organized by ORP Stampi, which brought together companies, partners and industry professionals on 22–23 September 2026 in Viadanica, Italy, to explore new opportunities in liquid silicone rubber (LSR) injection moulding.

The highlight of the event was the official launch of ORP’s new electric Cold Deck with needle shut-off valves for LSR, a solution developed to improve injection control, precision and process repeatability.

Equipped with electric servo actuators and dedicated software, the system enables independent control of needle movement and opening and closing sequences. Its aim is to increase process stability, optimize material usage and reduce waste. This technology opens up new application opportunities, particularly in processes where precision and component quality are critical.

The Open House also brought together technology partners ENGEL, Wacker, Moldex3D, UTPVision and DOPAG, offering complementary perspectives on the technologies and expertise driving advances in injection moulding.

With experience in cold runner systems for rubber dating back to 1994 and subsequently expanded expertise in LSR moulding, ORP Stampi reaffirms its commitment to developing solutions that meet evolving market needs.
